Its coming up 1.5 years since Martin & Loraine from Pandemonium Estate opened their cellar door in the Swan Valley. They’re still going strong, and are just as lovely & welcoming as the first time I met them, along with still making fantastic wines! Read about my initial Pandemonium experience here.
To celebrate the release of their 2015 ‘The Demon’ Shiraz, Pandemonium Estate held a Vintage in the Valley celebration. Live music was to be provided by the very talented Matt Boylan-Smith, a giant pan of Paella was promised, and previous experience showed the wine would be great. I was lucky enough to be invited along.
Along with the paella, cheese platters were on the tables, & a tapas table was set up. I was seriously impressed with all the Spanish themed toppings, all tooth-picked together by the cellar door team!
The new 2015 ‘The Demon’ Shiraz is yet another example of the great wine from Pandemonium Estate. Upfront I got red berries, moving to aniseed & cranberry. The flavour just kept going, and I wasn’t leaving without a bottle, a bargain at only $22. I also enjoyed a glass of the incredibly refreshing & easy to drink Sparkling Chenin.
The whole team at Pandemonium Estate are so friendly, the event felt more like a get together with friends. There was plenty of great conversation, dancing, and lots of laughs, the photos speak for themselves. I suggest checking out their next event and in the meantime, stop in at the cellar door and say hi!
